    Are you sure they only took money and not your ID? If they took your ID they know where you and your family live. Think back real hard and see if you can remember if your ID was taken too.

      At work the yard area behind the shop gets broken into regularly. At least twice a month, sometimes twice a week. You think if I create a paper trail of reports with the local PD my chances for CCW issuance increase?

        You need a specific, ongoing threat to even be considered. The PD just doesn't want to have paperwork showing that you were in danger over and over and that you tried to get a CCW that was denied and denied, and have you die.

        It makes for bad publicity.

        But even with those things, you might get a provisional license that specifies you can only carry when you're at work or in danger of that specific threat. (basically useless if you work on private property) You'd be better off pissing someone off and filing a restraining order! (just kidding, of course)
