    Recently added handguns??

I decided to take a look at the lists of recently added and removed handguns on the DOJ website. The removed list is 11 pages long with about 25 guns per page so that's maybe 275 guns that we could previously purchase but will never be able to again.

Then I looked at the list of recently added guns which had...

    .... wait

    ..........drumroll please

It does suck that the recently added list has been blank for about 4 months. However, note that of the recently removed list, most are not recent at all - it goes back to 2002. It looks like only 15 guns were actually recently removed. Also, how many of those are simply due to their expiration and non-renewal by the manufacturers? I think all of those Buckmarks were due to expiration and Browning not renewing. Expect that soon from some of Ruger's .22LR guns as they make changes to their designs.

No matter how you look at it, the fact that these added/removed lists exist at all is bullcrap.

FAQ: see California Penal Code 12125 and following. Briefly, the guns are drop-tested, by approved laboratories, and checked for features (magazine disconnect and loaded chamber indicator).

'Safety', however, isn't the issue. Many guns currently on the roster, legally deemed 'safe', could not be added to the roster today.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

If it really was about safety, do you think they'd exempt law enforcement personell from the requirement? or issue pistols to the military and national guard which dont meet the requirements?
