I allowed my membership to lapse and when the NRA called today, I signed up for their easy plan life membership ($25 now and $25 dollars every three months until I've paid $1000).
Now my wife wants her own lifetime membership (the $10 annual discounted membership isn't good enough). Since we're past business hours for headquarters (customer service evidently isn't authorized to play let's make a deal) and I have to call back anyway, I thought I'd post here and see if anyone has any experience with negotiating with them for discounts or perks or if you would recommend waiting for their next membership drive and the attendant discount.
