    Law on Intra-Familial Handgun Transaction

I have a question on Intra Family Handgun transfer. I just saw that that you can transfer a handgun between family member in my case to my mother just by file a form. I gave my mother a 1911 years ago at the time I thought no paper work had to be done between family members Dose anyone know when this law went into affect. Do I need to file this form now years and years after I gave her the gun.

Any help would be very much appreceated

She would be the one to file it; it went into effect in 1991 or 1992, associated with the requirement that most transfers go through a CA-FFL.

After 30 years? I doubt anyone cares.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
