In the past couple of years Lou Dobbs has questioned the necessity of semi-automatic firearms based on the fact that while growing up in Idaho, he hunted with double barrel, pump-action shotguns and bolt action rifles.

Though I have noticed that some of the stories on CNN have had a positive attitude towards self-defense the last week.

I've worked with a CNN producer who has a Georgia CCW, is pissed that he can't carry in California and is an avid hunter. But he believes "certain types of firearms should be restricted" (i.e. assault weapons).

So. If you had a double barreled semi-auto rifle with two separate 10 round capacity internal or fixed magazines, one for each barrel, would it violate 12276.1?

Or would you be limited to two magazines with a capacity of 5 rounds each.

I like the way that you think. DOJ has already been driven nearly to the point of blubbering by the OLL game. Maybe if we keep asking questions like this one, they'll just give up.

I saw him on the Early Show (CBS) this morning and I couldn't believe my ears when he said gun control laws are irrational and then he started citing stats on how California and Washington DC's crime rates have increased after passing more restrictive gun laws.

Who in the heck is Lou Dobbs and where did he come from!

Hm - how about a belt of ARs? That is, each link in the belt would be an AR with its legally limited 10 rounds. Some sort of meta-AR mechanism to fire them.
