    CA-AWB Let's Just Say............

Lets just say CA keeps its AWB based on mfg's & model number. ( for now )

Would it now be possible to have the features list modified? Since we are the only state that has to go through unusual means ie: bullet button, monsterman, featureless etc.

What California list as accessories / features which makes your rifle an ": assault weapon " are common features allowed in 49 other states.

I can accept a 10 rnd magazine ( for now ) but is there hope for having a normal, everyday, common rifle that the rest of the nation enjoys?

At the shocking rate that this once great state keeps going down the drain, I think it highly unlikely that any liberal politician would stick his neck out to modify anything concerning AW's. Crime is rising, and we can only hope that there are no more efforts to revoke our ability to protect ourselves. If they do anything, figure out a way to keep our Cops on the streets, and get rid of all the illegals who are eating away our tax dollars like a cancer.

Four other states have a features list. CT, MA, NJ, and NY. They get to have one feature instead of zero features. Their list is not the same as CA's list. Thumbhole stock is OK there. Bayo lug and threaded barrel are not.

It won't be politians, it will be the courts. The assault weapons ban, both the list and the features, will be ruled unconstitutional. It will just take a little time. Heller states "in common use". These weapons are in common use most places in the US, therefore banning them is unconstitutional.

only way this is going to happen is in the courts.

I believe the AR-15 is the most common rifle in America. Also I believe the miller case sets a precedent for civilian use of military arms? Seems like low hanging fruit to me
"It wasn't a failure of laws," said Amanda Wilcox, who along with her husband, Nick, lobbies for the California chapter of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. "I just don't see how our gun laws could have stopped something like that."
