    High Cap Mag Legality

Hopefully this is in the right place. . .

My parents and I moved here in '97/'98 (to california)

We came from Alaska where we had some weapons, large cap mags, .50 cals, you name it.

My pop sold all but the mags, I'm assuming because large weapons and airlines and packaging and and and, anyway. . . also thinking he could sell them down here plus they were easy to transport.

Anyway, Obviously there is NO proof they were bought and owned before the ban BUT they WERE in CA before it AND they are still here.

However, he has died (RIP pop) and now I have the mags.

Please tell me I can use them. Or at least tell me I don't have to send them out of state or give them up. . .

Did you father give them to you prior to 2000?

    If so, no problem.

    If not, then problem.

Sure would be nice for you if he gave them to you prior to 2000.

If you had lawful possession of the magazines before 01/01/2000 within California, then you may retain them.

If not...... You can figure out the rest.
