You, and you alone are responsible for your own security. You cannot rely on someone else to protect you at all times and in all places. There is no government, military, law enforcement agency, or otherwise, that can protect it's citizens at all times, in all places. Plan accordingly!

I don't think so. There's a huge difference between partipating in a "gun forum," owning a firearm, and knowing what to do with it, ie. taking the time and making the investment to learn how to responsibly and assertively use one under fire.
