I agreed with everything that they said about people being to get them. The only thing I think is dumb is what,Joe Arpaio said about off duty officers. Making them cary guns off duty and making them work off duty is stupid. Police officers dont make enough for what they do, and imagine if a cop "had to" enforce the law when hes with his two wife and kids, talk about bringing work to the home, brilliant Other than more people should be able to carry them. Personally I think they should set hard standards, including mental evalutions and such that would be ones own expense, but if you pass your good to go.

Arpaio is just playing to the press, as usual. Deputies there have been expected to cary at all times since way before he was Sheriff. This is both for self defense and because a cop is still a cop even when off duty.

In Arizona if an officer witnesses a crime while off duty he is expected to take action. I thought it was the same here in CA.

IDK, I can tell you this much, my teachers(active and retired LEO's) dont carry weapons off duty, for different reasons. One says that hes never fealt that he needed to he wasnt in fear wherever he went. One of my other teachers said as soon as something goes down hes a trained eye witness and thats it, of course he said theirs always a exeption but for the most part hes not going to be the hero 6ft under. Of course mind you they are all older, smart, and college educated. Of course my friends the young cops with no college wherever we go, to a wedding, riding, or whatnot they are always strapped Of course when I(if I) get hired on im going strapped EVERYWHERE!

Baca also indicates special consideration are given to people if they have been victimized... when did defending yourself for law abiding citizen, became proof that you were a victim and that can be a good cause/justification to defend yourself?

that means if you survive your first incident we will give you consideration for a CCW?

We need to replace the village clowns . . .

If I remember correctly Baca barly won over Sherman Block, her died 1 or 2 weeks befoe the election. He won by default. I spoke to a Sheriff Processor, she stated the man's an Idoit. They sent them out to do paper work, and all that good stuff without a gun nor body armor. Just a radio!!!

Bratton is not better in Los Angeles, I;m glad I moved out of LA a few years agao. Remember you can not fire off a BB gun in your own back yard in the city of Los Angeles.

Baca is a fool. We need someone like Corona here in LA
It's better to have it, and not need it, then to need it, and not have it.

Isn't Corona under investagiton for some kind of criminal activities?

Doesn't mean I don't want CCW's here or that even as a criminal he wouldn't be better than Bratton or Baca
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.
