A precint is a geographic area.
A precint walk is going door-to-door in neighborhoods to A) leave campaign materials, B) talk with voters, or C) both, as the candidate prefers.
Some times, candidates don't hit every dwelling, but work from Registrar of Voters lists and hit a subset - say, voter(s) who voted in 90% of the last elections...
and, its important work...this is where supporters can help a lot without spending (much) cash...and your name doesn't get reported to any public entity...
