I'm working the NRA Booth at the Cow Palace Gun Show this weekend - if you stop by, say hi! In fact, if you join or renew at our table, you get in the gun show free (NRA pays your $10 ticket) and get another $10 off the membership fee. That's $20 savings!

And it would help raise our "stats" too! :-) You can join or renew with NRA and help out some calgunners at the same time.

Signed up over 200 new/renewing NRA members! In fact, here's one for the books...

Young Asian couple approaches from the parking lot. Of course, I approach their direction, trying to get to them before they buy their gun show ticket...

ME: "Folks, if you join or renew with NRA today, NRA will pay the $10 for your show ticket AND take another $10 off the membership fee!"

(guy keeps walking but woman stops, looking quizzical.)

SHE: "What's N-R-A?"

ME: (Holding up flyer) "It's the National Rifle Association, the premiere Second Amendment defense organization in America. This is a list of bad California bills NRA stopped and good bills they passed last year. Please take a flyer. If you have more questions, just visit the NRA booth over there and thank you for listening."

SHE: "I will have to think about this" (YES!)

She thanked me and they meandered off that direction. About 10 minutes later, I visited the booth on a break and lo and behold, here is the couple at the booth, the woman has the NRA package & hat in hand - SHE HAD JOINED!

From "What's N-R-A?" to new member in 10 minutes. IT WAS A GREAT DAY.
