I also carry the printout of the SAC Detective training memo and the receipt in the same rifle case cuz I really don't want to waste my time explaining what they should already know.
I spent a lot of my time studying and learning how not to break the laws when I got into this hobby. Shouldn't they know their crap already by now?

just make sure you have a handful of cash displayed in your other hand next time, it will be more interesting.

Long story short, I had to do a lot of explaining. So I'm thinking of getting a 10/10 mag and removing the pistol grip any time I'm transporting my rifle so it looks non scary and CA compliant/neutered...
If you had to do any explaining, explain it to the Lieutenant. Its not your job to train cops. If higher ups fail afterward, take suit for harassment and force a replacement based on vote of no competence. My plain if and when it happens to me anyway.

You must have balls of steel.

During winter, when I go to a range, I pack all my stuff in a snowboarding bag, so if I run into any neighbors in the elevator, I just tell them I'm going snowboarding. During summer, it's either fishing or golf. Only some of my friends and family know that I have guns and I would like to stay that way.

"what saved my *** was that I had the Sac PD memo, the Flowchart, my DROS record/receipt, my Henderson Defense receipt with me. I keep all those paperwork with me. I also kept a copy of the email stating that they put a 10/30 mag on my gun... also because i have a clean/no record."

Is a dealer supposed to give you a copy of the DROS paperwork? I had a FFL dealer up in Eureka do a Dealer to Dealer DROS on a Saiga for me, (bought online from colorado)..and he gave me a handwritten reciept with his shop name rubber stamped on the top, no other paperwork when I picked it up after the DROS. Was he supposed to give me a copy of the DROS? I didnt think he was, and am I not wrong in thinking all DROS paperwork in california gets destroyed for long guns after a certain period of time? ...Now the Saiga is "tacticooled' so , i'm wondering how much paperwork to carry around...i do carry the flowchart, and the Sac PD memo, and the reciept from the dealer, but should I carry more paperwork?

            Got me wondering....-Icefire

by simply opening your car door you submit yourself to have your vehicle searched when asked to exit your vehicle always take your keys lock the door behind you
