      One of the more interesting ideas I've seen in gun rights advocacy is to frame the private right to arms in terms of genocide and as a fundamental international human right.

        Well, to many, that's what the RKBA boils down to.

        Which is, protecting the people from the most potentially destructive and dangerous institution in the world's history - government.

        It's no secret that throughout history a people's own government, when left unchecked, because their biggest source of oppression and genocide. It's happened over and over.

        One might theorize, that for some reason, gun control advocates seem to think that a magical ferry came and cast a spell immunizing the United States from that same cycle.



        The process has already been initiated here in the United States. America started out as a gun culture, and has evolved into a culture that supports the belief that normal citizens are not qualified or deserving of the right to bear arms, and that right should be reserved for those in government and police forces.

          I concur with the domestic component. What is interesting to me is co-opting the international community to make this argument outside the US.
