Politicians in every country of the world are the same. They never GET IT. They will never understand that you can't legislate civility. There are things that law abiding citizens will need to insure their safety. The only one who can come to our aid in 3 seconds of violence is us. They never understand that. "JUST CALL 911. Wow, if the ban failed to stop guns from getting into a small island nation where they could only be brought in on ships and planes, imagine how badly a gun ban would fail here in the USA...

Where we have a porous (at best) border with a third world country in the middle of a revolution, with thousands walking across every day, where drugs get through without molestation....

Stop guns? Not here. Just the criminals will have them.
