I live in Sacramento and I've bought quite a bit of ammo lately at Sports Authority. Everytime I've been required to show drivers license, give a thumb print, and sign a form. Today I bought ammo at a gun store and they didn't require any of that. Is the fingerprint/DL just a formality at SA or is that city code in Sacramento that this gun store didn't follow?

It's city only - if you happened to shop at a store in County not City, the store did the right thing.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
