    Getting back confiscated shot gun?

    Hello,
My mother had a shot gun confiscated by Mono County in 2008. She was charged for felony possession, and charges were later dropped after proving weapon was of legal status, ie length. How does one go about getting this gun back?
    Thanks

Contact the BOF for a LEGR:

The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

Why would police arrest and DA charge when no law was broken?

We've heard of incidences before where cops measure just the exposed portion of the barrel instead of all the way to the breechface - and on an 18" bbl the exposed portion thus appears under 18"....
