    Rep. Bilbray in SD.

Ok, so I called my Rep's office to day to express my concern over HR1022. My Congressman is Bilbray, a Republican. I talked to the fellow who answered the phone for a bit. He was helpful. It turns out that:
    1) Bilbray is a gun owner.
    2) He is also a hunter. He hunts in the DC area and out here in CA.
    3) This REPUBLICAN voted for the Clinton Assault Weapons Ban. According to the guy I talked to in Bilbray's office.
    4) The fellow that I talked to said that, "There's no way he would support this."
    5) See #3.
What the hell?! I'm so sick of this dual party paradigm. The majority of those degenerates in DC need a good solid kick in their *** out the door. Republican, Democrat, its all the same. We've lost many civil liberties due to Clinton AND Bush. Same pile of crap, same smell.
Look at what happened to Zumbo. Why can't we get the Republican Party to get back to its roots? ANYONE who voted for the AWB in 94 should have been booted from the GOP. No questions asked. I wouldn't be so hesitant to vote for the GOP if they had some balls when it came to 2nd Amendment rights.
The fellow also said that Rep. Mcarthy is very passionate about this. Apperently, her husband was killed by a firearm on public transportation. The circumstances were unknown by the fellow I talked to. Tragic as that may be, WTF does she hope to accomplish with this?
    Anyway, sorry for the rant.

I would like to see statements in writing from our so called representatives so we can hold them at their word and maybe file civil litigation when they go back on their word.

I have asked my reps for the same and once I receive anything to that effect will post it once I find my scanner software.

I asked for an email from his office stating his official stance on 1022. His aide told to to email me and I'd get a response.

        Drinks are on me, man.

Anybody else see it? Or we all drinking kool aid from whichever party?

Either party sucks. They're both interested in consolidating power for themselves and making themselves rich.

I haven't even HEARD of a politician that I would think of trusting.

Last I knew, Bilbray was rated 'F' by the NRA, meaning he actively works to restrict/infringe gun rights.

I am no Bilbray fan but I think he may have learned his lesson from the last time. The best thing to do is to call his office, say you live in Escondido/ Poway area and let him know how you want him to vote. He is pretty malleable. He has been reliable as of late on immigration and the war effort. Just let him know what you expect from him.http://www.house.gov/bilbray/

Isnt that what the Kerry ad portrayed.
                John Kerry + shotgun + hunting = Bull ****

Its not what they say.. its what they do. Thats how I judge my crappy politicians.

My problem is that most "pro gun" non-republicans (and even some republican) I've heard from say they support the civilian right to bear arms... the PROBLEM is that they dont' see a problem with limiting magazines to 10 round and not allowing rifles or pistols with certain features..... They say there is no "need" for these things, and that we are still allowed to have pistols for home defense and guns for hunting... makes me very very angry.... because it's about a RIGHT, not a "need" . . .

There is no need for a car that will do 150+ or 200+ especially when the speed limit is 55-65. Where are the laws that keep automakers form putting out these types of cars and to keep people form owning them?

I imagine his aide meant the rural areas surrounding DC. Sorry if the meaning wasn't conveyed.

                      2006 Koenigsegg CCX

                      Top Speed 245 mph
                      $600k
For certification, one of the major issues Koenigsegg faced was conforming to bumper tests and safety issues while retaining the same basic shape that claimed the title of world's fastest 2005 production car.
