Do NOT vote for Anti-2nd Amendment Activist Paul Krekorian for LA City Council.

ELECTION IS THIS TUESDAY 12/8/2009 - If you live in the Second District of the Los Angeles City Council, please do NOT vote for anti-2nd Amendment aggressor Paul Krekorian and DO vote for Chris Essel. Here is why:

Assemblyman Krekorian Endorses Paul Koretz for LA City Council
    - (Now it's Paul Koretz endorsing Krekorian just months later?)

FURTHERMORE... he is PROUDLY endorsed by California State Assemblymembers Mike Feuer. While Mike Feuer was on LA City Council several years ago, he worked as a near one-man campaign to install the following within the city: A BAN on sales of any .50 Caliber pistol and a BAN on sales of .50 caliber rifles (not just .50BMG). He went at length to BAN the sale of erroneously described "Ultra-Compact Handguns" in the city of Los Angeles AND accessories for such (like holsters or magazines for such guns) defined as handguns that are 6.75 inches in length or smaller and 4.5 inches in height or smaller. Now an Assembly Member, he authored California's "Micro-Stamping" bill - which the Governor signed.

    ------------------------------------------------------

AND WHAT DID PAUL KREKORIAN STATE ABOUT THE MICRO-STAMPING BILL IN SUPPORT OF HIS BUDDY FEUER'S ANTI-2ND AMENDMENT ACTIVISM???

    QUOTING MR. KREKORIAN:

"This is not a gun control bill. It's a crime control bill," said Assemblyman Paul Krekorian, D-Burbank. "We know that there is an epidemic of gun crimes in the state."

    ------------------------------------------------

May 19th, 2009: BURBANK, Calif.–Assistant Majority Leader Paul Krekorian (D-Burbank) has endorsed Paul Koretz in his bid to represent Los Angeles City Council’s Fifth District.

While I can appreciate Mr. Koretz' recognition and respect of holding memorial of the Armenian Genocide, and his actions thereof, I can NOT condone his being the single most anti-2nd Amendment politician in this state, having pitched, written, and vetted such bills as AB-50 while backing numerous other ridiculous and ineffective campaigns against the 2nd Amendment all for the sake that he is a carpetbagger. Nor can I respect that Koretz and Krekorian have this mutually honored pillow-talk relationship between them in politics.

    Thank you --- CALI.

People like him have an illness where they internalized the role of the aggressors, or feel survivors' guilt or something like that, and so work to make the same thing happen again. Maybe not to them, but to someone. Many Jews have had the same problem.

Also if that type of person ever acknowledges, "private ownership of arms could have prevented it", they get a whopping dose of guilt from, because it means that the situation was something they could have done something about. It's a lot easier to digest things like that if you say, "there's absolutely nothing we could have done. It was completely beyond our control." That isn't true, but admitting that the victims could have done something is psychologically impossible.

Reminder bump - if you just got home from work and are part of the 2nd District of LA City, you still have time to vote against Krekorian; polls are open until 8:00PM. If you need to look up where to vote, link is here:

A little late, but you may want to correct the date in your OP which says 12/7/08 which was yesterday.

Was half-sick when I typed that; and I think I was looking at a calendar that showed Monday as the first day of the week when I checked the dates. But Tuesday was the day (today).

AND just nearly every other gun-ban you can think of where he had a vote.

This morning's news reports that Krekorian has won. Not good news, but Essel wasn't worth a tinker's damn either.

Was their no worthwhile third party candidate?
