Can I sale a long arm to someone FTF or does it have to go thru a PPT with an FFL?

Depends. Is the gun in question 50 years old or older?

    IF YES, FTF is fine.

IF NO, have to use the FFL.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Assumes both are California residents, of course.

My uncle got a SKS 1953, over 55 years old, so it is OK to sell it to me without FFL dealers? SKS is not an AW I think.

Yes, a 1953 SKS in stock condition can be transfered between two Californians without going through an FFL.
