I got this as an email today. A video of Sheriff Richard Mack (RET) talking about the 10th amendment and how the Sheriff is the top LEO in the county. He says that not even the President of the USA can supersede his authority. Might be an old post, if so sorry I'm new to this forum. Interesting though. If this belongs in a different thread can you please move it.

In every thing I have seen from the Feds, the county sheriff is the top LEO. Every city or town is inside the designated county. When I have to send a Multipule Hand Gun Sale to the top LEO office the BATFE told me that was the Sheriffs office.

Well, the US Supreme Court agreed with him. At least in the case that he filed.

I wasn't talking about the case but the claims that he makes that he is/was the highest law in his/her county answering to no one. Block tried this stuff against the FBI an was handed his butt. Powerful yes but not the highest in his/her land. Besides if true then they could just ignore the laws from the fed an interpret things as they see fit. Imagine the damage if Baca got to do as he pleased till his term was up? Yikes DMZ for sure. No one should own a gun other then a flintlock. How depressing.
