2)Updates various statutes to reflect the name change of the
California National Guard Military Museum and Resource Center
to the State Military Museum and Resource Center.
This is not trivial. This is a direct attack against the existence of an autonomous state of California which resides and makes it's own decisions inside the great United States of America. This is at the very least dishonorable and disrespectful. I am surprised the men/women in the California National Guard are not a wee bit pissed at this one.
Using one bad law to off-set another, no matter how erroneous the original law is never good. Two wrongs never made a right.
and
You are assuming ahead of time something GOOD will come from the passage of this bill?
HUH?
(see above)
I will pull my BS card. This is nothing more than a separation of the inherent rights of Californians to maintain a history and a definitly, whether you agree or not, open minded governance. We will handle our own. We are proud of our California National Guard. (Let this pass, the Federal Brown Shirt memorial may come to existence next...)

No have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Knowing the source, it's certain to fall into one of two categories:
1) maximizing expected gain.
2) minimizing expected loss.
Nothing public says which, but it's one of those and whichever it is, it would behove us to pay attention. I just don't want you to bank on #1 and expect something good out of it if it turns out to be #2 and the benefit is avoiding something worse.
Unfortunately, that's realpolitik for you. Fortunately, we have ninjas on the job in Sacramento.

What do you need guns for if you are going to send your children, seven hours a day, 180 days a year to government schools? What do you need the guns for at that point?-- R. C. Sproul, Jr. (unconfirmed)
