    Latest ARSENAL AK...OLL or not?

What's the consensus? Is the latest generation of the ARSENAL AK an OLL or not? Per the DOJ 'Assault Weapon Guide'......It is an OLL based on markings........

    Am I stretching it ???

It's off-list and fine as long as it's legally configured.
      Please read the Calguns Wiki
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

Assuming you're referring to the various SGL models, they are off-list.

Can you elaborate a bit? A co-worker wants to sell me his AK, which he purchased from Turner's, out of all places, back in 1997. Being an Arsenal SLR AK, 2000 rolled around and he never Registered it as an AW. He never really gave it much thought as he lost interest in the sport and kept it locked up all these years. Turns out, he likes my Remy 700 and would like to fund one by selling the AK. So, my question is on this "latest generation" Arsenal AK? What's different than the SLR? Does the reciever not say SLG or SLR? Which are both banned by make and model.

            SLR's are named...It's a no-go and an AW if it wasn't registered.

we've been having a lot of these come up recently....

Any Arsenal SLG-xxx or SLR-xxx rifle is banned on the Kasler list. Other than those, any other Arsenal is off-list (i.e, Arsenal SGL-xxx) and is not banned by name. It's legal providing it's properly configured (Bullet Button + features, MonsterMan + no features, or rendered into manually-cycled nonsemiauto by gas system change).

[I will note the murky "all" designator is used - creating a de facto "subseries" - and someone could make a "son-of-Harrott" argument that SLR-105, SLR-106, etc. all have to be separately listed. For practical legal safety, regard all Arsenal SLGs and SLRs as banned.]

One should use care that the actual rifle ordered nevertheless does not have old 'listed' receiver markings (I can see situations where old receiver inventory might be used to build new rifle models. Colt has done this with ARs...)
