You will have to keep all of your guns in the less secure tin can. This is exactly what I thought when I saw post #17 above from Irvine.

Portantino surely knows this and the logical conclusion is that he intentionally wants guns to be less secure.

So riddle me this one.. If I subscribe to the climate change and do my part by taking public transportation can I bring my firearms in my DOJ container while going to the range?

Civilian disarmament proponents love stolen weapons, gun violence, and mass shootings. Analogous to how abortion activists received a century worth of money and support after the Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade, gun control organizations would wither on the vine if any of the social ills they claim to want to address actually ceased to exist.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The Second Amendment makes us citizens, not subjects. All other enumerated rights are meaningless without gun rights.

It will eventually be gutted watered down so that the 9th circus far left fanatics can at least approve it, then it will fight on. But the damage will be done and the scumbag senator who proposed it will be happy regardless.

Again, SCOTUS does not have the power to enforce much of anything.

                  The Supreme Court in Operation

...The Supreme Court has no power to enforce its decisions. It cannot call out the troops or compel Congress or the president to obey. The Court relies on the executive and legislative branches to carry out its rulings. In some cases, the Supreme Court has been unable to enforce its rulings...
This is part of what was implied when it was stated: "Elections have consequences." It's also why, ultimately, the power of Government rests in the consent of the People; i.e., if the People don't consent, the Government doesn't necessarily have the 'power.'

Now, try to convince the Government of that.

Error. The building inspector has no authority to enter my home. That ended when the home was constructed, inspected and approved.

I get your point, but no building inspector forced me to have smoke detectors, handrails on staircases, and earthquake-resistant stud spacing.

If a car trunk qualifies as a locked container a locked house sure as hell does.

Someone needs to put Portantino in a locked container - just as you would do with any NeoSocialist dictatorial tyrants.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

Know that "approved device" is determined by the guy that was in charge of the DOJ CCW license holder database.
