It should place the pro-2A vs anti-2A dialogue on a more equal level. BTW, not exactly the correct forum for your question.

no effect in the short term. in the long term if he truly accomplishes what he set out to do, then it will allow more dissent and opinions from conservatives and thus gun owners be heard

I'm an outlier, I find Twitter to be the dumbest of all of the social media platforms. At least Tik Tok knows it's stupid and made for ADD teens mostly.

A lot of people think Twitter is a "Beacon for Democracy" and other claptrap like that. I had a business endeavor that had to post on Twitter for a few years so I had to live with it for a while and I found the discourse there, generally, liberal or conservative, to be pointless and moronic.

Musk talks about "freedom" and will suddenly become pro-2A and use the "power" of Twitter to re-program the minds of millions?

nope. no change. Musk is in it for the money and limelight.

It came out in the Depp defamation trial that Musk donated money FBO Amber Heard to the ACLU, aka George Soros’ fund to destroy America.

Musk is still a lefty, even though he makes libertarian noises.

doesn't matter what you think, a heinous amount of people use it, that's all the matters. what changes culture and politics is the mode of communication that has the greatest reach, power, and control.

I'm sorry, what you're writing here makes no sense. Everything that's put onto twitter, thereby public. What is there to protect? Other services may be holding data that is considered private (for example Google might have my e-mail in Gmail, Facebook might have my messenger conversations), and that presumptively private data does need and deserve protection. But tweets? They are out for everyone to see, what does "protect" even mean in this context?

Twitter ,facebook ,AOL and other democrat/leftist sites protect democrats by censoring, removing content, and suspending accounts that will sway an opinion away from the democrat agenda and expose truth .
That's why democrats are coming unglued ever the proposal of uncensored dialog .
