I believe you're missing the possibilities inherent in the tar. Unlike superglue, it needs to be heated for easy application....

What do you need guns for if you are going to send your children, seven hours a day, 180 days a year to government schools? What do you need the guns for at that point?-- R. C. Sproul, Jr. (unconfirmed)

I don't think so. I've talked with the national ACLU about the issue of the Nevada State ACLU's support of 2nd amendment rights and the National ACLU is almost ready to disown Nevada because of it. Nevada's ACLU supports the whole Constitution which really pisses off the national organization.
Strange, I've talked to employees of the national ACLU and they stated that A) They didn't have a problem with ACLU of Nevada doing what they're doing and B) They're doing a review of Heller and may revisit their stance.

Which will smell worse, the heated tar, the burning flesh, or just downtown LA in general. I'm going to say downtown LA. Keep the tar away from Tony Villar, he might use it for his hair.

Please excuse me if I don't hold my breath.
"Did I say "republic?" By God, yes, I said "republic!" Long live the glorious republic of the United States of America. Damn democracy. It is a fraudulent term used, often by ignorant persons but no less often by intellectual fakers, to describe an infamous mixture of socialism, miscegenation, graft, confiscation of property and denial of personal rights to individuals whose virtuous principles make them offensive." - Westbrook Pegler

Looks like this event got them interested http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/forum36/27721.html
False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.

The big issue I see with many ACLU members is consistenancy. One should be for all civil liberties, not just the ones one happens to like. The mostly liberal members tend to dislike guns and cigarettes. If they were true believers they would be fighting tobacco regulations and gun laws as hard as they are fighting for gay rights and the enviornment. Looks like the Nevada branch is opening their eyes. Good for them!

I have been following this ACLU story with interest for a while now. I would default to utter distrust of the ACLU since they do not believe a citizen can keep and bare arms is a right. Although the Nevada ACLU section says they do I still suspect they have other factors motivating them and they are most likely not beneficial to the 2nd amendment.

That being said they are a powerful force and I hope I am proven wrong. Only time will tell.

Tpbacco? Maybe it's news to you, but second hand smoke DOES affect other people in ways guns don't. Why not add all sorts of other regs in there while you are at it, like traffic laws, bullhorns in public, zoning, ..., or is tobacco just your particular pet peeve?
