    Wtf is this garbage.

They’re anti-gun but want to reduce time behind bars when using a firearm in felonies.

Which seems to imply they aren't actually serious about reducing "gun violence" by actual criminals, right?!

Well, they are eager to make you a felon, so that you cannot have your rights, but real bad guys should go free. It's the looney left.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

One way or the other we are outlaws for legally owning a gun sometime in the past. we live in California after all.

They think gun violence originates with guns. If they ban guns criminals won't commit crimes. All crimes are the fault of the gun.

I don't think so .. Most of the pro-gun lobbyist want people punished for misuse of a gun.

They think this will encourage more crimes using guns.
More crimes using guns = higher gun crime numbers for UC Davis type studies..
∆, more legislative rationale to ban guns

Falls in line with a story a day go from SF regarding it being unfair for youth in dangerous neighborhoods to not be allowed to carry guns for protection. Translate to guns will be allowed for the right people, which are those not born with privilege
The only thing that is worse than an idiot, is someone who argues with one.

The Leftists in Sac and DC don't care about crime, criminals, or criminals committing gun homicide: they know they cannot tyrannically shove socialism down the throats of an armed people. So they must disarm us first (while prohibiting our speech and freedom of assembly on the side).
That, and nothing else, is the sole motivation of their anti-gun mission: citizen disarmament.
