    Military votes dont count...

I am reading an article in Navy Times right now. There is a new study that shows an average of 28 percent of military absentee ballots in the 2008 were not counted. I cant find an online link right now, but when I do it will be posted. Chuck Schumer says "this is troubling"...

In 1980 I was in the Navy and I wasn't allowed to vote during the Presidential election.

We went to sea before the absentee ballots were mailed out from California and I came back from deployment the day after the election.

It's pretty hard to vote if you are Active Duty and out of state, at least that's my experience. No conspiracy, just timing issues.

          Only 28% not counted?

Heck, when I was in OTS in 1981 I was told that officers should not vote...and almost none did the first 8 or 10 years I was in the AF.

Actually I think it was right the first time. I suspect he was hoping for only 28% counting so the fact that 72% were counted is VERY troubling to him.

They were not counted because they WOULD change the election. I would bet the military votes 70-80% consevative...
