    California 2A advocacy/legislation

    Hey folks,

Loving the forum and am glad that there are other avid gun owners that appreciate our constitution. I am doing some research on California's state laws in reference to 2A and was hoping some people could help out. I read up on how the civics/legislation works but

-Where can I find all the current state gun control laws?
-Politicians FOR and AGAINST gun control?
-Advocacy Groups FOR and AGAINST gun control?

Also, does NICS work? I know it's a general question, but I remember seeing Dana Loesch/NRA referring to the system would work if all the agencies across the country would communicate, but they do not? Is this correct?

    Appreciate any feedback!

"-Politicians FOR and AGAINST gun control?"

If there's a D after their name the will support it for sure. If there's an R then maybe, maybe not.

      1) In the penal code: http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/fa...nal+Code+-+PEN
      2) Check how they voted on specific legislation: http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/fa...chClient.xhtml
      3) For: CRPA, NRA, GOC / Against: Don't deserve mention

Share with us what you want to get out of this study?

      2) Also reference voter guides put out by various groups, e.g. CRPA 2018 below

For the current crop of bills in the Legislature ,see http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1494095

Also take a look at the wiki - http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/index.php/Main_Page

It's currently un-writable, so cannot be updated, but it covers some bits of gun laws that are not in the Penal Code.

        NICS:
        FBI: https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/nics
        ATF: https://www.atf.gov/qa-category/nati...ck-system-nics
        NRA: https://www.nraila.org/articles/1999...nt-check-sys-1

Lots more through your favorite Search Engine.

Note that CA does not use NICS, but uses its own hybrid background check process.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

You can buy "California Gun Laws" from CRPA for $30 rather than poring over all actual laws online (though you'll want to verify that applicable laws related to a question haven't changed). Link: https://californiariflepistol.z2syst.../giftstore.jsp

Also, while you're there, join CRPA.

And there it is. You all just did this anti-gun douche a solid by doing his homework for him. And if you're saying Gun Control needs work you're not advocating against gun control - what part of not infringed don't you understand.
