Hello all,
Just to be clear: The first comment period for these regulations are done, and I can't find the original thread for this, but...
In 2018, the following was proposed:
Regulations regarding Automated Firearms System Information Updates – Title 11, Division 5, Sections 4350 – 4353
You can find the text here. And more documents, including the ISOR, can be found here.
Basically the regulations allow people to update their AFS records via the online system. The comment period for those initial regulations has already passed.
Now, they've submitted a text modification for those regulations on which have already been commented, but the modifications are now open to a 15 day comment period. The text of those modifications can be found here. And the notice can be found here.
The modifications seem to remove mention of the ammunition background check system, and making some other technical changes. There's probably more to this but that's the thrust of it.
Written comments can be made on the modifications until 5:00 p.m. on April 30, 2019. They can be made to:

I'm just pointing this out for everyone so in case they aren't on the list, so they're aware of changes coming. You can get on the CA DoJ Firearm regulation change e-mail list by e-mailing BOFregulations@doj.ca.gov
You'll need to renew this free e-mail subscription annually if you want to continue to receive updates.
Also maybe we should get a standardized titling going for firearm regulations like we do for legislative bills.
