This is probably a spot bill - submitted by a Republican, and the initial bill REMOVES prohibition of gun ownership for those are have a warrant on specified crimes, but who do not have a conviction.

Didn't the Feds relax their definition of "Fugitive from Justice" a year ago or so, too?

SB-701 read third time and passed on the Senate Floor on 5/20.

Hm, never posted about the amendment before.

This was amended on 4/29

Reduces the penalty for a person with an outstanding warrant for a felony or several specific misdemeanors who possessed a firearm from a felony down to a misdemeanor.
