2019 SB 221 - Hill - Firearms: law enforcement agencies: agency firearm accounting

Requires law enforcement agencies to develop written procedures by 1/1/2021 to account for all firearms in the agency. Requires notification within 5 days of knowing that one is missing to the appropriate channels, and that it be listed in Automated Firearm System (AFS).

Hill introduced the same bill in 2017, which died in committee in 2018.

Not really a pro-2a bill, but I still think this bill might be good. My description from 2017 that probably still applies to this 2019 version was:

Requires law enforcement agencies to adopt a written procedure to account for firearms that are owned, acquired, maintained, sold, loaned, lost, stolen, or in any way possessed by that agency or by an employee of that agency if used or carried for purposes of carrying out the official duties of his or her employment.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.
