    72 Killed Resisting Gun Confiscation

National Guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons were ambushed by elements of a Para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw.

Speaking after the clash, California Lt. Gov. Newsom declared that the extremist faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing ammunition protest movement.Newsome blamed the extremists for recent incidents of vandalism directed against DOJ offices. The governor, who described the group’s organizers as “criminals,” issued an executive order authorizing the summary arrest of any individual who has interfered with the government’s efforts to secure law and order.

The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry to turn over recently outlawed assault weapons.

Newsome issued a ban on military-style assault weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms.

One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that “none of these people would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily.”

Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition in Sacramento met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists who had been tipped off regarding the government’s plans.

During a tense standoff in Sacramento town park, National Guard Colonel Francis Smith, commander of the government operation, ordered the armed group to surrender and return to their homes. The impasse was broken by a single shot, which was reportedly fired by one of the right-wing extremists.

Eight civilians were killed in the ensuing exchange.

Ironically, the local citizenry blamed government forces rather than the extremists for the civilian deaths. Before order could be restored, armed citizens from surrounding areas had descended upon the guard units. Colonel Smith, finding his forces over matched by the armed mob, ordered a retreat.

Sheriff John D'agostini has called upon citizens to support the state/national joint task force in its effort to restore law and order. The governor also demanded the surrender of those responsible for planning and leading the attack against the government troops

Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as “ringleaders” of the extremist faction, remain at large.

And this fellow Americans, is how the American Revolution began, April 20, 1775.

In 1775, people went to church, worked together, spent holidays in community with one another, etc. They knew each other. Do you do anything besides say "good morning" to your neighbors? Do you actually know even 100 people you'd trust to plot an armed resistance with? I dont, and that my friends is our biggest problem.

That incident also taught the government how to better handle the people.

The American Revolutionary War didn't start over "taxation without representation".

                  It started over "GUN CONTROL".

This could happen in the Jefferson State. Doubt the rest of the state would stand up.

we are doomed to repeat history because we never had the guts to stand up and reject the want-to-be dictators of this socialistic regime at a time when a vote would have done the job. Now we are faced with the terrible decision of deciding whether slavery through surrender or freedom through violence is best for our children and their children. the vote no longer counts in California/american society as our politicians have already shown us as they go to the courts they control to have issues people want on the ballet thrown off. an armed citizenry is a dictator's worst nightmare and we are Jerry Brown's worst nightmare in Northern California as we fight to keep our water, our taxes, and our guns. Sadly I think we have gone past the point of peaceful dialogue unless we surrender first and bow down to Jerry Brown and his cronies. why haven't we heard about the charges against politicians in the legislature especially those of a sexual nature and why hasn't the legislature thrown them out? if you think as citizens you are being ignored you are right and women are getting no justice.

I don't know why you guys think this can't happen. III%ers came from all over to help the Bundy's get their cattle back. Are you saying no one would help out Californians to get their right backs?

There's a lot of folks out there, quiet folks, who think like Mattis. They don't post scenarios or even mention stuff in general. They don't telegraph.

We got a surprise Nov 8, 2016 in some states that Clinton believed were a slam-dunk. That was the peaceful expression of the quiet ones.

The national U6 is still at 8.0% as of Nov 2017. I'd have to run the stats to compare to total working age workforce to compile numbers on who isn't working and who would like to work and are part of that stat. There's a lot of disenfranchised/displaced/dismissed/forgotten people out there. They're still alive. All they need is effective leadership. Ironically there have been a lot of us tossed aside who have skills essential in war, both the professionally trained killers as well as those specializing in ordinance and armament and logistics. Are they looking to Trump as their last hope? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

The PTB's are depending on the socialization into law and order as well as our greed for money to keep us under control. In their quest I wish them well.

We've had several such incidents in the past 20 years. None have gained any traction, even though there was some support and sympathy for it from the public.

That "fan fiction" is an everyday occurrance all over the world. Probably happening as we speak in Iran.
