I know a gentleman who due to compounding circumstances has been homeless for a few years now and owns a BB equipped AR.
I had not seen him in quite some time, but he stopped by to wish us Happy Holidays.
We got around to taking guns, and I asked him if he was going to register or change his AR to be compliant with the new laws.
He was very concerned about all this as he had no idea that BB equipped rifles had to be registered or about any of the new laws.
He lives out of his vehicle and part time in a tent at a RV park.
He has no phone, no access to a computer, no digital camera, etc.
What we ended up doing was I had an extra Thrordsen stock here, so I installed that and set the rifle up as featureless.
Now the point to all this is what do folks like this gent do who:
a) have no access to the means to register
b) have no access to keep up with the ever changing laws in this state
Yes, ignorance of the law and all that....but honestly this seems like ripe picking for a lawsuit on many levels.
