    Yeah, close the "Hollywood Loophole."

Just like cigarettes, shootouts and violence should be banned from the trailers shown on TV.

Only CA approved guns allowed for any filming done in CA.

No guns may be handled by any actor convicted of a felony or violent misdemeanor during filming of a movie or TV show.

Enforce 10 round magazine limits by requiring mag changes after every 10 shots.

Of course, those portraying police, military, and criminals are exempt.

You will never get Sacramento to stop the Hollywood exemptions, there is to much money and adoration to overcome.

Take it to the streets. Get a proposition on the ballet and see if the public will close the loophole. If the public chooses not to do so (and I believe the sheep of California would not close the loophole) then you know that the 2nd amendment is dead in the once Golden State.

But I’ll miss all the John Wick movies and Sylvester Stallone will be out of work.

Be careful what you wish for... It might feel good for a bit to make Hollywood scramble, but they'll just do CGI effects over airsoft. Half the time that's what they do anyway, particularly lower budget stuff.

These days with so few ranges and shooting so stigmatized I'd guess a lot of kids have never even held a real gun. If it wasn't for Call Of Duty and John Wick catching their interest gun culture would be dead. Banning cigarettes from advertisements didn't hurt the movie companies or ad agencies, it hurt the cigarette companies.

Banning depictions of guns in ads or movies is EXACTLY the sort of thing that Feinstein has wet dreams about. We'd only be hurting ourselves. Remember Shrimp Boy's buddy Yee authored several bills banning "violent" video games. Getting guns out of the media is a solid part of the liberal anti gun platform. Don't think for a second they wouldn't do it if they could figure out a way to without (further) sinking CA's economy.

Unless the movie features republican actors, directors or producers we have vowed to stay away from renting or attending in theaters.

Yeah I know it seems intolerant! But they have declared us the enemy!

Ummm...aren’t those “firearms” used in movies just props? Non real, not able to really shoot bullets? Movies making would not have actual, working firearms with actual bullets, only shooting blanks?

That hypocrisy is only the tip of the iceberg. How many of their movies are made in other countries to exploit cheap labor and get around the union rules and excessive CA regulations?

Since ISS was mentioned I went to their web page on the rental process:

Surprise, surprise, ya don't just waltz in there, claim you are doing a production and walk out with a firearm.

Sometimes there are real firearms on set. Sometimes those firearms have been modified to fire blanks, Some only fire blanks and aren't legally firearms, sometimes they are fake, airsoft, or rubber.

Sometimes they actually do hand real firearms to real felons. AFAIK they are breaking the law when they do that.

I'm not a Weapons Master and I don't work in the Props Department but I am a crewperson and that's been my experience on set.

I was pointing out the hypocrisy to a liberal about guns in movies.

They responded with "only rednecks watch those kind of movies"

                      Huh?

He would have to put work into it, and demonstrate that he cares.

I do not think he is capable of either.

In any case, he doesn't have to. He's royalty. They are above the law.
