Local high school gets a taste of life under the control of paramilitary police force

Is this what they are teaching kids nowadays?

Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

Probably an active shooter training exercise.

That's what I thought as well. Better that everyone be prepared for the worst.

        With kids inside? Really.

If I were a parent I would be heaving pissed. I better have gotten a parental consent form if this was a "training" exercise.

Would you rather they have an unfavorable view of police as taught in rap songs and other media?

I'm not to sure how I feel about this, accidents happen and SHTF is going to hit the fan when it happens to a student from LE while training.

What do you mean? An accident like an AD? All the weapons appear to be cleared and flagged in the photos.

They're preparing the kids to accept the mentality needed to accept the coming "final solution" completely without question.

Lets get the kids used to being searched by the cops now, so when we come door to door later it wont be so shocking.

Oh the police NEVER make mistakes. I am close friends with cops from Centerville and Salt Lake and they have enough ND stories to keep it a topic for a whole evening.

I'm sure that the .gov or PD put out a blanket letter (after the fact maybe) saying that this is all training for the department and to acclimatize the childrens to a worst case scenario. Hopefully between the lines it says: "Look, we are tired of you whining and/or suing us about your precious little snowflakes getting their feelers hurt and crapping their pants whenever they see a cop or soldier in public, especially since the economic and political climate are only going to get worse and make the need for us and our presence even greater."

It didn't work too well as a solution when they tried it last in Russia. For all the dipsticks who yammer on about a teacher or two being a danger to the student bystanders with possible misses, what about a whole SWAT team??!

BIG +1 our kids have enoughf to think about. Why do this when you can learn / train the samething in empty school rooms and without scaring anyone? I think all they are doing is trainning our kid to be victums.

Better not let any of our kids see any type of guns or people in uniform. Think about their feelings.
