Thought some might find this helpful.

Got this note back on one of mine:

"Thank you for submitting your application. Your stock to barrel/other end photo was taken at an angle in which we cannot clearly see the front or back of the weapon. Please resubmit a photo of your firearm. Take a clear, top-view photo of your firearm laying down on a flat surface. Use flash and or interior lighting as needed. Refer to Section 5474 (c) in the following regulations:"

My original pic was looking back from tip of barrel towards stock.

For reference, here is how I took my pics. They were accepted..

Yea it takes awhile. I submitted as soon as it the site was available and it took 2 months. I imagine the processing time might be getting longer now if more people are submitting.

I actually wonder how many people have actually registered. Looking at the posts here, it doesnt seem like more than 10 people have submitted anything. Maybe everyone is just keeping it to themselves.

Amazing. I looked and I guess I submitted 8/21, so not three months yet. I tried submitting day one but never could get the site to load for a few weeks.

Nothing? Didn't realize that and it's deeply disturbing me.

They wanted you to check "forward pistol grip" for an AFG? I hope it's at least 26" OAL.

That could be a significant problem for featureless rifles with AFGs too.

I always err'd on the side of caution and considered the AFG to be a forward grip. I would never put one on a featureless rifle.

Thanks for the update, OP. How long did it take from you submitted to when you got the kick-backs? I submitted on Halloween. I got an email stating I will be notified via U.S. mail. Just wondering how long before they tell you there is something wrong.

I got the kickbacks at different dates.. I just got kickbacks for 10-12 of my ARs for my photo not fully displaying the entire receiver on the left side photo.. go figure...apperently I accidentally checked the less than 30 inch box on some of the applications and they said it appears t is greater than 30 inches and to uncheck the box. They said if it is less than 30” than to submit a photo with a tape measured displaying that.. haha
Very interesting. They already have a good idea either based off of a database or they somehow can scale the pic to determine the 30" overall length. I wonder how that will work with an Aug?

Damn I was thinking of maybe reg-ing 2 or 3 rifles in 2018 but these posts may make me change my mind.

These DOJ Arsetards are trolling gun owners big time here.

This is nothing like the Cali RAW process at all that we have had before.

I've only regged one RAW in Cali back in the day(since sold out of state)and it was simple as hell.

This seems like they are just effing with people.
