    Who Neutered this Sub Forum?

The "California 2nd Amend. Political Discussion & Activism" sub forum on Calguns.net used to be a beehive activity and there were new dozens of new threads and discussions every time I poked my head in here.

Gun control in California isn't slowing down, it's only speeding up, so what's going on?

After last years Gunmegeddon disaster there isn't as much going through the legislature this year so there is less to discuss about new bills.

Last years mess is in litigation which as we all know moves slowly.

It may well be time to branch this forum out a bit.
Working for 2A rights doesn't have to just mean fighting current bills and supporting litigation. There are local elections and such that we can get involved in that would have an affect on our rights in the intermediate term.

Your comment about better action than reaction is something that seemed right to me, too. This 'southwest voter registration education project' is not aligned with my politics at all, but they are singularly focused on getting voters and candidates elected. Admirable for them and good example for us.

Hey kestryll, would it be possible to add a judicial subforum to this area?

Off topic is too nonserious and many serious posters won't go there; and the quality and ability to discuss suffers.

Anytime intelligent discussion of SCOTUS or anything veers off into judicial matters, it gets sent to offtopic where it dies an ignominious death.

A lawyers forum could be useful to offer those folks a place to argue until the cows come home. You may need to up the memory of this site, those guys can also write until the cows come home.

A subforum that deals with starting to rebuild the system from the bottom up. Supporting local, city and county candidates. Also look at all the people that are running for any office and pick one that we can hopefully change to reflect our views. Then get involved and do it. Money, door to door, mailers, etc. Some examples would be the upcoming sheriffs race in Riverside or the Chief of Police in W. Covina. Some of the assembly races also would be worth looking into.
