I think it's hilarious. The gun culture has been talking about big brother and government incursion into more and more or our every day lives. The leftists and liberals deny it and we get labeled as right wing conspiracy kooks. Their idea is much government is good government. Here we are and now they are crying foul. SMH.

      It's an epidemic.
I agree wholeheartedly. Many local municipalities aren't going to comply quietly in regards to growing herb for personal or business usage.

That is because growing and smoking weed is our constitutional right unlike guns.

Do you think the Feds will let CA off the hook for those payments?
Do you think California's government has some mechanism to NOT pay the feds?

I'm saying I'm not surprised as cities have been intrusive into resident's lives for decades.

But I believe that privacy is not guaranteed, and it's the responsibility of the individual to protect his personal privacy against any intrusion..

                Featureless joints.

No filter grip, low cannabis capacity, rolling paper must be marked with makers info. Lmao

Even the most elaborate hydroponics set-up for growing 6 plants is going to be less of an issue for fire or problems than an electric heater or even a Christmas tree that most people plug into the wall at this time of year on a daily basis.

There is no shortage of fires across the country started by Christmas trees and electric lighting; are you saying now that their should be required governmental inspections and compliance checks to set up a Christmas tree?

Because that is obviously more dangerous than someone growing 6 fresh plants on which no electrical wiring is attached, and the lighting is not much in volume or capacity than what most people already have in just a portion of their house as it is.

Christmas Tree "compliance checks" - coming soon to a living room near you.
In your Indian Wells example, I do see the parallels to what "we" are dealing with, and I support your argument in that sense. Many of those who voted for 64 will soon be regretting it. Your lighting example, however, is off by a long shot. Not many people have had success using LEDs or CFLs - yes, the plants will grow, but if you want them to have any value - medicinally or otherwise, you're going to need to need some proper lights - the same kind that are used for larger grows. Even the most SIMPLE hydro set up uses those same lights that the larger grows use (just not as many), and all of those high-wattage HPS or MH lights, and the ballasts are, indeed, fire hazards. Oh, and definitely the wrong site to bring up any argument that involves using cannabis.

Absolutely. People just keep forgetting this little, inconvenient truth.

all I can say is payback is a Bit*h. Let them feel the pain we have. I don't care. When they realize their grow is being inspected they will get mad.

We can say well you idiots thought it was ok to infringe on our rights to own firearms. Now you know what it's like. Sucks to be them.

maybe after a few people get busted or lose the ability to grow they will understand why we fought so hard only to lose to idiots like them.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

this state sure as hell doesn't use our tax money for roads and freeways that's for sure. Cut this state off at the knees with Federal money they do need and see what happens.
