    I agree with you.

But it's not my range. Presumptions of innocence don't apply to private actions. If a twenty something guy walks up with a non BB AR variant, it's pretty clear that there's likely an issue.

You don't NEED shoes to get service, either, just sayin.

Their deal, their rules. Don't count on anyone to MYOB when, if they don't, your freedom is in jeopardy.

It was FT3... in case you guys are wondering. It was at check in before you even get into the range area. They inspect all weapons and ammo. No issue with "high" cap mags though from my experience. That I'm sure will be changing though.

I registered two in the 1990 ban. I was an LEO at the time. They only time I was ever asked for registration papers was when I qualified by my department with the RAWs semi-annually to carry them as trunk weapons. It wasn't so much that they cared if I had unregistered AWs, but rather if I shot someone in the line of duty with it, it should be legal (registered). Ranges NEVER asked me.

In all the years I've been shooting my '99 RAWs and BMGs, I've been asked to see my paperwork (which I carry) ONE TIME.

By a fellow calgunner. Who wanted to see what it looks like

I was at a public outdoor range once when a DFW Warden was going down the line checking bullet buttons.

This was shortly after the Sandy Hook shooting when hysteria was pretty high. The Warden didn't seem very enthusiastic about doing it. I got the impression that he had been 'ordered' to check rifles, because of the comments he was making.

I have a RAW from the original ban. The only range that ever checked for a BB was the range at Guns, Fishing & Other Stuff in Dublin. I showed him the paperwork. It looked like he was just going through the motions for the security camera.
