The NRA is Doing Plenty in California!

Interesting article by Rick Travis, CRPA Director and Dan Reid, NRA State Liaison. Some people here would definitely benefit from reading it.

The NRA is Doing Plenty in California
Some are forever stuck at the maturity level most commonly found in bad middle school students.
Likely because they were ostracized or picked-on themselves in response to their own behavior.
Wouldn't it be great if the real world also had an Ignore List?

It's easy for them to say they are doing something, when ca gun owners are on the verge of being turned into criminals in a few weeks.

The majority of California voters have spoken. And I would bet a dollar that some of those voters are gun owners.

California will eventually use the Ag inspection stations to include checks for ammo, magazines and firearms.

NRA didn't organize gun owners for anything in CA

This is a simple fact that none of your fanboys dispute.

Duesenberg/Excellsior is back with his troll threads.

The voters have spoken they approve of restrictive gun control measures.

The NRA does as much as it can here considering the overwhelming opposition and now voter approval of more gun control the legislature will surely run with pure enthusiasm and with 100% success.

The NRA will have it's hands full without a doubt and don't be surprised one bit when just about every single anti gun bill passes or is said with something like this attached to it. "the people of California have spoken and want more gun control." bet on it will be something like that.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

Yes, you are correct. It was a very powerful message sent to Sacramento and it will be held up loud and clear. Be prepared and make your plans.

I don't get it....The second Proposition 8 was passed in CA, there was immediate court filings to get it overturned.

With these new gun laws, it seems like we are sitting back and twiddling our thumbs. Why have we not seen class action lawsuits from every gun shop in CA against these laws. If these new laws impede their right to sell legal firearms and restrict my 2A rights, we are we not seeing the court papers being filed.

Now I know nothing of just what it takes to file lawsuits but it seems like we are not getting info from anyone and everyone is just getting ready to take it up the arse.

Please explain to me why there is the perception of nothing being done?

It may have been the voice of the people, but we are supposed to be a country of laws, with a Constitution the restricts the power of government. We are not supposed to be a country of mob rule where a majority can take away the rights of a minority. The "will of the people" is not the end all, be all. The "will of the people" should never, ever override the protections of the Constitution without first going no through the process defined within the Constitution.

California gun owners need to step up. Get one million to vote against the Ca democrats and in primary vote for pro gun rights republicans. When I lived in California I could not get even one Californian gun owner to vote out any gun controllers. Californian gun owners are the only voters whom can do anything yet when will they?

Did you read the article? Personally, trying to do something from within California is going to be fruitless. Dems have a supermajority and that supermajority is made up of liberal, gun-hating, Dems. While they did put money in to fight the recent legislation and ballot measure the real war is on the national level in the appointment of judges who will protect our civil rights.

For me, on a local level, I do hope the NRA and CRPA will get a pro gun candidate on the ballot that can replace Sheriff Gore.

A 4-4 SCOTUS ruling hurts our cause.

I emailed every NRA employee in CA and made threads and wrote letters and did everything along with dozens of people in my sphere of influence.

We got nothing in return. They did very little/nothing to promote the gunmageddon petition. They did little to organize anything grassroots. Omce the laws get passed its too late it costs millionsbto get them repealed. So they continue to ask for donations and what not. CA is lost and they know it.

The people spoke against gay marriage awhile back also. But that was challenged in court and they won their right to liberty. While I understand the article, there should have been an immediate challenge to it. Instead we are stuck here reading post after post about registering and not registering.
