I don't think he is an extremist. I honestly don't think he even cares about taking our guns. All he cares about are votes. He is using tragedy as a platform to throw the minority gun owner demographic under the bus and garner support from a larger non-gun owning demographic. It is a calculated move to get more votes. For democrats it is never about principles...it is simply about staying in power. That is why it is so easy for democrats to obtain support. When you aren't standing by any principles you can say whatever suites your needs to get re-elected. Republicans sound heartless because they have the overbearing need to make sense. The things they do must actually net results and be in touch with reality. Dems just spew garbage that sounds great no matter how misguided or unrealistic it is. If they can make the electorate believe all their fairytales...they win. Look at Hilary...scum of the earth and riddled by scandals, yet still has the support of the majority of democrat voters. Extremely troubling.

It really does make me feel a little better to come and express my discontent with folks here. I'd go batty otherwise, and appreciate how gun rights people feel. That's not all I do by any stretch, but commiserating is healthy.

Japan had this same ideological conflict... the guys on our side lost. They lost because not only did they refuse to see the enemy as the enemy, they lost because they became the people's enemy.

I agree he is just like Yee. When Jerry Brown signed all of the bills this year, not ONE mention about it on his Facebook page. No talk about how CA is leading in gun control. Just crickets. Why? Because the winds were taken out of his sails with the ammo bill since his proposition (that he is using for campaign advertising), was diminished. He doesn't care about gun laws. He saw this as a quick and easy way to run for governor.
