How's Gun Control working in New York and Conn? Is CA going the same direction?

This article is a year old but, it seem applicable to what is going on now. At the very least, it's interesting to see how other citizens responded to their politicians. And, they are in Democrat strongholds, just like CA.

My cousin is a sheriffs deputy in western NY, he told me that shortly after the safe act was signed into law, the sheriff called them all together and told them that they were to not enforce it, no matter what, and that he would fire anyone who attempted to do so. I haven't talked with him in a few years so I don't know how its been going since then though.

SAFE Act charges are risingOnly 31 people have been charged with possessing an unregistered assault weapon, according to the state data. Eight have been charged with failing to register, a separate charge that took effect in April 2013.
          Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

Like many laws, they are held back for the "roundup". That's what's done for gangs too. Let them feel comfy for a while and then BAM!
