Since I am in the military, I will just make mine compliant within the word of law since my stay in this state isn't permanent, meaning I'm not retiring here. I don't actually wish to register any of my fire arms as assault weapons. Either way, while I am here, I will help fight the good fight.

Where is the option for "my answer hasn't changed since the other 75 polls asked earlier this week"?

If you don't register, and your gun is stolen, you for sure will never get it back.

            Oh, look, no less important.

And no way, I will not register. 2 to 3 years max left in CA, I'm not going to do something so meaningless when it will be completely meaningless 2 to 3 years from now and it's one less record (or several dozen) that I feel CA needs in its hands.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

That's one of the best jokes I've seen on registration since registration was thought up by Kings, Czars, Fuhrers, Emperors, Dictators, and now Governors and future Presidents.

IMHO you need to add "my rifle will remain California legal" and "Bacon" choices

I won't need to register because I will comply with the new wording of the law by making my rifles featureless or adopting a new fixed magazine. If they ban those before the legislative session ends I will just block my gas tube.

If you register and they change the laws again they will know where to pick them up = stolen by the government. I'd rather a thief get my guns than the government.

Not doing anything but moving in 5 months or less, hopefully around September.

If you don't register with the thought of leaving CA 2-3 years deadline, will CA authorities start checking who has NOT register and start..umm... legal preceding?

HIGHLY doubt it, when said person trips up they will then be caught. Like at a traffic stop, LEO contact while out shooting in the desert, etc. Then the hammer comes down!

Unfortunately I will register, I have worked too hard to get where I am at today. A great job as a firefighter with benefits for my wife and children, and a great retirement. I will not jeopardize any of it for a rifle. I retire in a few years and my wife and I are working on our exit strategy.
