Anti Newsom "movements" ... which are for real?

I've gotten 2 e mails in the last few days from groups "mounting an anti Newsom bill" fight....of course the crux of any of them is they need "support"...I'm willing to send financial aid to try and derail anything Gavin tries to do..and certainly Calguns will have a dog in the fight...but is there any "clearing house" to make certain all the efforts are the right kind and legit? I'd hate like hell to send off $20 and find it went to a fund to support Newsom...It's not above him or any politician...we need to know who to support...I'm an NRA fan but I got a bit of a sour taste right now and would prefer to focus my donations on something that is strictly state oriented and not sending out jackets or range bags for memberships.

This thread http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...1#post18446541 talks about the grass roots effort started here on calguns. The petition link is an online petition, and is meant to show the NRA and FPC that we are serious, but getting people to sign that has been challenging

I did a Newsom movement this morning. I feel another one coming on.

Newsom is the leading contender (D) for governorship in 2018. Only guy that can topple him might be Kevin Faulconer (R) (San Diego Mayor).

If Newsom wins in 2018 and all his cronies remain in office, they can (and will) crank out anti-2A bill after anti-2A bill and Newsome will just rubber stamp everything. Bleaker times are still ahead of us.

My personal feeling is registering then Newsome getting elected will end badly. But that's just me.
