Independence Day Thoughts

This day is marked to celebrate the anniversary of our independence from tyranny, attempted gun confiscation, and government control and taxation without adequate representation. This independence and freedom was achieved through the bravery, leadership, and blood of our forefathers. I can't help but wonder if today democrat citizens and bureaucrats throughout California are instead celebrating the taking of and the restriction of a fundamental constitutional right, achieved by our legislature, governor, and federal courts over the past month. Do the bureaucrats revel in their unfettered control and superiority over over us, the common peasants? Are they already setting their sights on bigger and more severe restrictions and control over our lives? It is so easy for them to take and comes without ANY organized resistance. They must be.

When will enough be enough? How will we stop it? Will it occur via the courts? The "lawmaking" process? By referendum? Can a new president restore the taking of our rights? We have been down these roads and I don't think these options hold the solution.

Can one man or woman stand up and organize enough like minded patriots to make a difference? How would one even begin the effort? Can an established organization make the call to organize? Or, will it come down to blood again? I'm not sure if the liberty embracing citizens of today (every single one of us with jobs, families, responsibilities) have that in them or if it would even be effective given our current government size, technologies, and military might.

Today is a somber Independence Day. When will it be enough? When will we take back what has been stolen from us?

I have been out of town and completely without access to the internet or any other news source since Thursday evening. A friend had mentioned that the Gov. "signed some sort of gun bill" but didn't know the details. I get home today to find that our worst nightmare has come to pass.

"Independence day"? I need a new irony meter....

The Irony is Overwhelming.

240 yrs ago today, our forefathers signed the Declaration Of Independence. They were called "LIBERALS" because of their love of LIBERTY.

So many have forgotten that the "SHOT HEARD ROUND THE WORLD". Was fired marking the opening of hostilities between the British Empire and the newly formed United States of America. At Lexington/Concord Mass. And even fewer remember or ever knew that the reason for that brief opening battle.

Was because the British were marching to Confiscate the Arms, Ammunition, and Ordinance from the Colonists.

Yes folks. The birth of our nation was about Gun Control.

So this year, just 5 days short of this joyous celebration of our Liberty. A smelly coward of a Brown Turd of a POS, who sits in the Gov Mansion here in Ca. With a few strokes of his pen destroyed a part of foundation that our nation was built upon.

And today, a "LIBERAL" is a Liberty fearing coward.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.
He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.
He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.
He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.
He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.
He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.
He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.
He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.
He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:
For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences
For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:
For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Brittish brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. As I woke up this morning and worked my way out to the front yard to replace the "Summer Fun" flag we have on display with the American flag for the forth, I thought about not swapping them out kinda in protest of what has happened in our state in the last week. In the end, I swapped them only to show patriotism on the national level I guess. But yeah, CA sucks!

On special holidays. I fly a flag that belonged to my father. It was sent to him with a hand written [not printed] letter from the President. In recognition for his work on RR's Campaign.

It has been flown inverted since Jan of 2009. It will remain so until we again have an American in the White House.

On July 2 the range I shoot at most often had their flag at half-mast, I think signaling the death of liberty in the USA. I may do the entire flag thing using your idea.

I loved how Fox radio played a speech from the President about people fighting and dying for our rights and then leads directly into a story of a family murder suicide with a gun.

Their agenda has a thin veil.

I HATE the supposedly symbolic gesture of flag upside down.

Newsflash: It's NOT a symbolic gesture, it's an actual SIGNAL.

It's an abuse of the signal, crying wolf if you will. It's like calling 911 "my house is on fire, my house is on fire" then when the FD gets there "Oh, I just wanted to bring awareness to you about the ongoing struggle of kitten distress."

Touching on Our Founding Fathers as True Liberals, compared to the supposed Liberals of today is but one. True Liberalism opposed to Nanny staters that have no Liberal Love of Freedom. Who expressly wish to give up Liberties so they can hide behind an oppressive Gov for a false sense of security.

Liberals of today try and promote that the Revolutionary War of Independence was fought primarily over taxation. Because of the Boston Tea Party. etc. Yet the BTP was a done deal 2 1/2 yrs before the signing of the DOI. The King had already backed off on his demands for excessive taxes long before the DOI.

Then in an exercise of utmost hypocracy. Libs of today give unerring support to "Tax and Spend" politicians without concern for those paying the taxes.

And even though wrongly promote BTP as primary reason for DOI. They vilify the Tea Party of today, for being true Liberals.

The "Shot Heard Round the World" was fired in April of 1775. A year and three months. Before the DOI. Hostilities continued from THAT POINT in history.

I always stress that America was formed due to "GUN CONTROL".

Simple, if you hate it, because you really really consider it as some abuse. Then most assuredly don't do it.

I see Dad's beloved Old Glory as a "Symbol" of our once great nation. As a Liberty Loving American, I really really see our entire nation in distress.

Now if we could just get elected turds and appointed turds in black robes to agree that the 2A is real.
