Sorry if this has been answered, but what do people who bought guns in the 80-90's like Sigs, Glocks, SW, Beretta, etc do. If we have to turn in the original mags, does the state of CA. issue us an original Sig, or say CZ mag with ten round cap. There has to be millions of pistols sold over this period with 12-17 round mags that came with them. Are they going to do an exchange one for one?? This makes zero sense. It is like we must all turn in old t.v. since they use to much electricity, or our a.c. wall units, etc. Do we get vouchers for new stuff if you turn in the old stuff? Can u imagine what this would cost!!!

You are not being compensated for your property. They won't be exchanging with you for a 10 round magazine. You're just out the cost of those magazines unless you sell them out of state. Bummer, huh?
I haven't studied all the magazine laws but I think you can say weld/epoxy a block in your magazine to make it permanently a 10 rounder and be legal. -
Block them . You cannot export unless you leave state with them.Comment
