MFG revolt is the only answer

To me folks, this is just the same old **** all over again....was a dealer for many years, legislated out of business by power hungry county supervisors only aspiring for higher office. I watched in absolute disgust how the entire process played out and the underhanded tactics used by anti-gunners.
Myself and countless others spent months in front of Tom Torlakson, Jeff smith, Jim Rodgers, Mark Desaunier, full well knowing NO MATTER WHO SPOKE OR WHAT Was said, it would make NO difference.
We had on our side some of the most influential names in county and state LE speak at the board meeting, only to be literally ignored!

I've been active in the firearms community for over 35yrs, 30yrs in the Military and a dealer for 10yrs...SO suffice to say, I've had my fair share of battles.

Let me be clear, and I've said this for 30yrs, the worst enemy of the gun owner is the gun owner and the entire industry....period.

The MFG's could stop selling to LE and Govt agencies, look what Ronnie Barrett did after .50's were banned in California. Then you have the duck and deer hunters...for 30yrs I warned my hunting friends that could have given a crap about black rifles that the day will come that even there beloved lands and guns would be restricted, telling them it is the perverbiable "camels nose under the tent", well....it's happend.

Everytime a mass shooting happens, gun and ammo sales skyrocket, yet more and more laws are passed restricting our rights, but the gun owner mentality seems to be "as long as I got mine, I don't care" I have literally been told this more times then I can ever count!

My biggest *****....out of state dealers! These dealers who refuse to sell into California, regardless of law. I understand from a business perspective, I own my own business, but it just adds to the divide of an already fractured hobby where all gun MFG's, Dealers, ammo MFG's etc....MUST be on the same sheet of music.
They are the ones with the deepest pockets to fight this.

Just think for a moment...no gun mfg to sell firearms to ANYONE in a state where 2A such as ours here in California is being violated. Take that a step further to include States that don't allow CCW.
Mark my words....this would get some real attention, real quick.
Sig, Glock, berretta, Colt, S&W....the list goes on.
Dealers that violate, get cut off from distributors, distributors that violate get cut off from the mfg. This folks is a concerted, combined effort.

Thank I'm crazy? Hmmm....probably, crazy for thinking that this industry will ever get its **** together. I've been saying this for over 30yrs...haven't seen much change.

Agreed, all of it. This should be the angle the NRA is working, to Hell with the politicians, put pressure on the manufacturers.

The NRA has abandoned the state of California, I was told this 30yrs ago.
      That's a different topic...

We must start from the source...the MFG's. And none of this LE exemption BS.
Even my cop buddies agree....it just continues the "if it don't affect me, I don't care" syndrome.

You are talking about Nation wide action. That is a perfect platform for the NRA.

While I agree with you OP, I do not believe it will happen. Those LEO and other government contracts are worth to much money to the manufactures and distributors.

They haven't abandoned us per se it's just that with purple states in play you will have a harder time getting the attention of the GOP and other conservative organizations to fight in deep-blue CA.

And BTW I agree completely however as long as law enforcement orgs have deep pockets there will be manufacturers willing to patronize them. Smaller companies like say POF and Larue might be convinced to stop sales but Glock or whatever won't listen.

No they haven't! I get requests for money from the NRA every month. We are a cash cow for them like we are for RINO's that come here for fundraising.

Ever since the queer lobby took over the State, it has been downhill for the 2A.
