To all you people blaming the NRA, threatening to quit the NRA

We're all furious with the recent laws, but I'm hearing a lot of asinine whining by people blaming the NRA and threatening to quit it. "F&&& the NRA" or "I'm never giving the NRA another penny!

I have a few questions and comments for you geniuses:

1.) Okay so you're quitting the NRA, what is your awesome, effective alternative plan?

2.) "The NRA has given up on Kommiefornia!" You know what? This is true, and to some extent necessary. The NRA's resources are limited, it isn't funded by billionaires like Bloomberg. It has to fight battles it can win. It has to fight BS like this:

That's right, the Dems never stop, they want to bring back the federal AWB and they never stop trying. I support and donate to the NRA because I want there to be free states left to flee to when I am able.

3.) "The NRA could have done more!!" No organisation is perfect. Sure, maybe they could have done more, but what do you really do in a state where the Green Party is almost bigger than the Republican Party? What can they do in a state where we (pro gun people) are outnumbered 10 to 1? Running TV ads accusing state legislators of being anti-gun will probably get them more votes in a state like this! The NRA is busy filing lawsuits, but can't get past liberal judges.

4.) Gavin Newsom says "the People are sick of the NRA", I guess he's right? He'll be very delighted to hear that you all agree, and will be quitting the NRA, which is his sworn enemy. He is happy that you will join him in condemning the NRA.

5.) Blaming the NRA for the actions of Democrats elected by their liberal constituents is not so different from blaming a gun for a terrorist attack, don't you think? We tell people not to blame the gun for the actions of the terrorist. Why are you blaming the NRA for the actions of libtards?

"There is only one person to blame a shooting, the shooter". In the same vein, there is only one person to blame for liberal anti gun laws: the liberal anti-gun people who did it.

It's tough being the NRA. Anti-gunners blame you all day for causing mass shootings and label you a terrorist organisation, pro-gunners blame you all day for not stopping anti-gun laws.

    _____

In conclusion, the NRA isn't perfect but it's the best we've got. The anti-gunners would love for us to get angry and split off so that the Brady Bunch and Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence can eat you all for lunch. The libtards are united, single hive-minded and driven.

Kommiefornia was lost years ago, but the NRA helps to fight for what's left of the United States. I'm planning to leave in 2.5 years or so, and I for one would like there to be somewhere free to escape to when the time comes.

So I ask you, what is your brilliant alternative? Yes they care about free states, because those states still have a fighting chance, and I hope to move to one soon.

Quitting or condemning the NRA? Gavin Newsom thanks you for joining his campaign. He would love to bash the NRA along with you.

Reading this while sitting in a conference room listening to the CRPA lobbyist and the NRA lead attorneys discussing these bills, what they do and what we are going to do going forward I can say your statement is full of crap.

Thank you, keep fighting. Sorry a lot of people are mad and they're lashing out. It's like hitting yourself in the face because you're mad someone punched you. If this is what the majority of gun owners in California are stupid enough to believe, that we are better without the NRA, then we deserve to lose all our rights.

The main problem is that we don't have enough California gun owners in the NRA. The NRA can't help us if we won't help ourselves.
You think this is the end? Its just the beginning. Should be yet another wake-up call that every gun owners needs to be an NRA member.

Its called cutting your losses. Why keep funding a failure. Yes maybe theres not alternative plan yet, but why keep doing the same thing over and over if you know its going to fail. Your second point even said they have abandoned California, then what fight are you even joining? There is no more fight here. Why bet on a team that already lost the game and went home? If I can achieve the same result by doing nothing why should I bother then?

Cutting your losses? You make it sound like people are putting thousands of dollars a year into something and getting nothing out. We're talking about memberships that are, or have been until recently $25 per year. Money well spent if you ask me. There would be no opposition to outright bans country wide if it wasn't for the NRA.

Babo, I think I saw your other post where you said you joined earlier this year and wished you hadn't? Now your cutting your losses? You give up too easily.

There are always tools who complain and produce nothing worthwhile. I volunteer, send e-mails, letters ,and contribute regularly as well as belonging to at least six second amendment org. Do I get discouraged you bet, will I quit, no how will that help. Get on board or get out of the way.

The NRA has spent a lot of money and time fighting our tyrannical government in court here, that isn't free. I keep my membership and they need numbers of members along with money to keep fighting.

if they go away, who is fighting for our rights?

like a buddy of mine in Turdlock, he won't join because he said they wanted to be included in his will when he went to a dinner or something, I have never heard of that. $35 a year or whatever it costs is nothing to help fight for your rights.

Saying the NRA has abandoned CA is ludicrous.

Not even getting in to the fact that every dime donated to NRA-ILA from CA stays in CA to fight for 2A rights, the NRA is definitely involved and working on these bills.

If they weren't I'd still be at home rather than in Orange County at a meeting to discuss exactly this.

That's almost as bad as the idiots blaming the NRA for Orlando. smh
