Hello,

If i read the new law correctly, once i register my gun as an "assault weapon," which one of the attributes is less than 30 inches overall length, does that mean i can then get a tax stamp and make it an SBR?

nope. CA SBR law still applies if you go 26" OAL. as a RAW, you can now go down to 26", but not less without a CA Dangerous Weapons Permit (which is not the same as an AW registration). you need that BEFORE you can get the tax stamp.

based on the calguns flow chart, the sbr box leads to "illegal unregistered assault weapon." does that diagram need to be updated then?
