Rimfire ammo?

I don't know anything about ammo.. But how hard would it be to make large rifle and handgun ammunition in rimfire?

Obviously this would be to circumvent and centerfire firearm bans

Can't do high pressure. Case has to be soft enough to be able to be crushed by the primer to ignite powder.

Pinfire, however...

As Spyder said, only low performance cartidges.
